Terms and conditions for participating in games at Funky Monkeys – Escape Hub

1. This document regulates the "General Terms and Conditions of The Heist" of Funky Monkeys Ltd., UIC: 206939260, with registered office and address of management in Sofia, 7th and 11th kilometer, 135D Tsarigradsko Shose Blvd., represented by its manager Rami Zimmerman (hereinafter referred to as the "Organizer") and the services offered by the company (hereinafter referred to as the "Games").

2. The games are held in a specially designated hall and in accordance with the established rules for participants.

3. Each participant in the Games is obliged to comply with these general terms and conditions in the interest of general safety during their conduct.

4. The game organizer is not responsible for any accidents that may occur during the Game. This includes accidents caused by the behavior of a participant or negligence on the part of the participants. This also includes accidents related to the improper use of items that a participant has brought into the premises illegally.

Participation in escape games – requirements and restrictions

5. Only persons who have reached the specified age, as indicated in advance on each web page of this Website, may participate in the Game.

6. Women in advanced stages of pregnancy, people with cardiovascular problems, as well as people suffering from hypertension and other health conditions that may be adversely affected by the Game, are not eligible to participate in the Game. The game organizer is not responsible for accidents involving participants who take part in the Game despite their health condition.

7. The maximum duration of a Game session and the minimum and maximum number of participants are specified in advance on the relevant web page for each Game on this website. Participants are not entitled to request an extension of the playing time if this would cause a delay in the work schedule.

8. If, during the game, any of the participants is unable to continue participating due to health or other reasons, they must terminate their participation in the game and leave the room, accompanied, if necessary, by other participants. In this case, if the game is not restarted, the remaining participants may continue their participation in the game that has already begun.

In the event of an accident or serious illness of any of the participants, a representative of the game organizer supervising the game may decide to terminate the game prematurely.

Use of equipment and facilities

9. Participants in the Game are required to use the facilities and equipment located on the premises with due care. The Game Organizer reserves all rights to claim compensation in the event of a deliberate attempt by participants to damage instruments, equipment, and facilities that are part of the premises and are the property of the Game Organizer. The Game Organizer may terminate the Game at any time! In the event that any of the participants refuses to comply with the rules of the Game or to follow the instructions of the employees exercising control over the premises. In this case, the organizer is not liable for partial or full reimbursement of the fees paid by the participants.

10. The game organizer guarantees that it has insured the premises for damages incurred in the event of accidents in the premises where the game is held.

In the area where the Game is being held it is strictly forbidden:

  1. To take any photographs, make any audio or video recordings, etc. using cameras, video cameras, mobile phones with cameras, laptops, and other devices with built-in cameras and/or microphones; The game organizer reserves the right to claim the rights to the images of participants when the photos are taken on its premises and facilities. It also reserves the right to request a ban on the publication of these photos on the Internet, social networks, and other places where they can be shared with a wide range of users. It also reserves the right to prohibit their use for advertising purposes.
  2. Bringing items into the premises that may cause harm to participants or other items located in the premises. As well as bringing, possessing, and consuming alcoholic beverages, narcotic substances, or other psychotropic substances in the premises of the Game;
  3. The participation of persons who have consumed alcohol or any type of medication or other psychotropic substances;
  4. The participation of individuals with poor personal hygiene;
  5. The participation of persons who display aggression and who would cause damage to the premises or incite other participants to commit violations on the premises.
  6. The participation of persons who display aggression towards the site staff.

Privacy and Intellectual Property Terms

11. All information about the Game is a trade secret that cannot be disclosed in any way or used. Information obtained in connection with this must be kept confidential.

12. It is prohibited to copy, distribute, publicly display, or create other games that may be considered derivatives of the Game. The Game Organizer reserves all rights to take legal action against any person who has infringed upon intellectual property rights.

13. It is prohibited for any person, directly or indirectly, for their own benefit or for the benefit of another person, company, or corporation, as well as any other company other than the Game Organizer: To carry out any activity that is directly or indirectly related to the conduct of the Game and that competes with the activities of the Game Organizer. Within 2 years of becoming familiar with these general terms and conditions. In the event of a breach of the non-competition clause by the participant during the specified period, the Organizer shall be entitled to claim compensation in accordance with the general procedure.

General terms and conditions for cancellation and penalties related to escape rooms

14. In the event that a group of participants in the Game is unable to participate for objective reasons. The planned time and date of the Game must be canceled in a timely manner. No later than 24 hours before the agreed time. Otherwise, the participants from the respective group owe a penalty equal to the deposit paid for the reservation. If the participants are more than 15 minutes late from the announced start of the Game, the agreed Game session cannot be changed to another day and time.

15. Participation in the Game is prohibited without the written consent of each participant in the form of a declaration.

16. The game organizer reserves the right to change the rules of the game and the general terms and conditions at any time.

17. IMPORTANT – At least 4 hours before the game, FUNKY MONKEYS LTD must receive confirmation of the reservation by reply to a message or phone call from the person who made the reservation.

General rules for participation in the games of Funky Monkeys Escape Hub escape rooms

Each game in our Escape Room center is carefully designed to offer an unforgettable adventure with lots of puzzles, missions, and adrenaline. Please familiarize yourself with the general rules of participation that apply to all games, including team games:

  • Number of participants: The minimum number of participants in a team is 2 or 4, and the maximum varies between 6 and 25, depending on the specific game. The exact number of participants is indicated on each game's page. The more people, the more fun and the more cost-effective.
  • Arrival: Please arrive 10–15 minutes before the start time to receive instructions on the history, mission, and rules of the game. For team games, we recommend arriving at least 15 minutes early to coordinate the entire team.
  • Duration: The duration of the games is fixed and cannot be extended in order to maintain the organizer's schedule. The duration of each game is specified on the page.
  • Age restrictions: Each game has a specific minimum age (10+, 14+, 16+, or 18+). Please adhere to this restriction—no exceptions will be made, even with an accompanying adult.
  • Team games: This applies to special team games: Ghost Hunters, The Heist and Tears and Sorrow, Brain Battle. The minimum number of participants, prices, and duration for these games are listed on the game page. No time extensions are allowed.
